I wish this administration will make one of its legacy project , The Bicol Express Bullet train from Manila to Bicol and connect also a manila to Ilocos Bullet train . This project will decongest metro manila at the same time boosting the economies of CALABARZON all the way to Bicol . Imagine going to and from Bicol will only be 1.5 hours . Business , industries , factories and definitely tourism will sky rocket in all the areas / stops of the train.
Let’s not look far , most recently , last July 2018 Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced the ambitious EL TREN MAYA project , with a cost of USD 2.3 billion . By the 2023 the high speed train project was already functional . After this ambitious project was very successfully in providing jobs to the people of Mexico and generated income opportunities in the areas covered by the project , Last December 2023 they launched a more ambitious USD 20 billion Inter oceanic train project , a new train route that will connect dozens of must see sights across the yucatan peninsula . If Mexico has recently done this , the Philippines can do this with just political will and putting this vision into action . Vietnam is doing this now , Japan did this over 40 years ago , we can do this now ! 👍✌️

I mentioned this to a few people , everyone loves the idea and agree this will boost economic growth , some though say - it’s too expensive daw ! Let’s stop this “hinde kaya mentality “ . Everything is possible ! If other less developed countries did it why can’t we ! Singapore don’t even have natural resources and they are now 1st world ! Let’s start thinking big ! And let’s start having a mindset that Filipinos only deserve the best , nothing less ! ✌️👍
