WE ARE HIRING! - CONTENT WRITERS (Contract of Service), and SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALISTS (Contract of Service)

Position: CONTENT WRITERS (Contract of Service)
Location: Provincial Government of Camarines Sur Office (Face-to-face with opportunities for field work)

Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Write informative and engaging success stories and human-interest angles about the programs, projects, and activities of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur (PGCS).
2. Interview stakeholders of the different programs of the province, especially the beneficiaries, for video and print feature stories.
3. Coordinate with the assigned departments in the PGCS to keep abreast with their programs, projects, and activities.
4. Support the social media specialist in highlighting the impact of the programs of the PGCS in their posting.

Qualifications:
⁃ Bachelor’s degree in Development Communication, Journalism, Communications, or other related courses.
⁃ Excellent communication skills and ability to recognize a potential story within a program.
⁃ With personal basic IT equipment, such as laptop or desktop.
⁃ Work experience in the development sector is an advantage, but not a must. Fresh graduates with interest in writing for development work are encouraged as well.

Position: SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALISTS (Contract of Service)
Location: Provincial Government of Camarines Sur Office (Face-to-face with opportunities for field work)
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Strategically plan the contents of the assigned social media pages to maximize reach and to help disseminate information about the programs of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur (PGCS).
2. Curate contents that will help enhance the online presence of PGCS.
3. Post organic and sponsored contents on the assigned social media pages.
4. Work with the content writers, photographers, and videographers in highlighting the impact of the programs of PGCS in every social media post.

Qualifications:
⁃ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Development Communication, Journalism, or other related courses.
⁃ Excellent communication skills and ability to make interesting and informative posts.
⁃ Clear understanding of the latest trends in social media, particularly Facebook.
⁃ 1-2 years of work experience as a social media specialist with content creation as strong suit.
