The El Verde Youth for Climate Action (EVYCA)—the youth arm of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, through its Environment, Disaster Management, and Emergency Response Office (EDMERO)—conducted a series of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) caravan among the students of CamSur's community colleges in Baao, Libmanan, Tinambac, Siruma, and Garchitorena, to equip the youth of the province with awareness and knowledge in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM).

"Sobrang importante siya ta tigdi-disseminate samuya si mga patungkol sa environment. Kun papano kita makakatabang sa environment, papano ta mababawasan si mga problema na kinakaharap ta ngunyan and pano ito ma-combat," Dhan James Bernedo eloquently shared after his experience.

Barnedo is a 3rd year student of GMVCC Libmanan and was among the active members of the EVYCA. "Sa mga youth man po, be responsible. Mag-isip muna bago maggibo ta gabos po na action ta may consequence iyan, especially sa pag-apon nin basura," Barnedo added, imparting a message to his fellow members of the youth.

Under the governance of Gov Luigi Villafuerte, the EVYCA of the Provincial Government will remain committed to empowering the youth and helping them become catalysts of change, effective global leaders, and active participants in nation-building.
