Even as forecasts said CamSur would be a relatively safe distance from the path of Typhoon Yolanda, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) chaired by Governor Migz R. Villafuerte (at the head of the conference table) was not be lulled into complacency nor relented an iota on its readiness activities, meeting at the Conference Room of the Provincial Capitol Complex early Thursday morning, November 7 just as the typhoon entered the country, to make sure all requirements and preparations by concerned agencies and civil defense elements were in place to meet and be ready for the natural disturbance that metamorphosed into what weather experts now concede to be the strongest storm that ever lashed the planet Earth
